Siri, Shortcuts and the Mac menu bar
Start or resume a note by voice, and use the BrainDump menu bar icon on Mac.
- iOS 18 and macOS 15+
Say “Hey Siri” and one of these. No setup needed.
- “Create new note in BrainDump”
- “Resume last note in BrainDump”
- “Ask BrainDump about my notes”
- “Create from my notes with BrainDump”
On Mac
The BrainDump menu bar icon has New note, Resume last note, Freewriting, your 5 latest notes, Ask and Create.
Good to know
- “Open Freewriting” is only in Apple Shortcuts, not a Siri phrase.
