Freewriting: write first, sort later
Empty your head into as many pages as you need, then choose one folder for all of them at the end.
Freewriting is a space to get everything out of your head. You pick the folder at the end, not before you start.
- On iPhone, tap “Freewriting” in the keyboard toolbar. On iPad and Mac, pick “Freewriting space” in the sidebar (⌘F).
- Write. Pages save as you type.
- Tap “New note” to start another page.
- Optional: open “Improve” for “Rewrite”, “Correct grammar” or “Create title”.
- Tap “Save” and choose a folder (or “New folder...”). Each page becomes its own note there.
Good to know
- “Cancel” keeps your pages. BrainDump reminds you an hour later.
- Freewriting is plain text, with no formatting.
- “Improve” uses your AI allowance.
