Copy your link
Open BrainDump, go to Settings, Claude & ChatGPT, and copy the connector link.
Add it to your assistant
In Claude, open Settings, Connectors, and add a custom connector. In ChatGPT, add a custom connector in Settings. Paste the link.
Approve
Sign in to BrainDump when asked and approve the connection. That's it.
Ask away
Start a chat and mention your notes. You can disconnect any assistant from Settings whenever you like.
Questions about Claude and ChatGPT
Which plans include it?
Every paid BrainDump plan, Lifetime included. It doesn't use AI tokens, so you don't need Focus for it.
Can an assistant change or delete my notes?
No. It can search and read your notes, save new ones, and add to the end of an existing note. It can't edit or delete what's already there.
Who can see my notes?
Only the assistant you approve, and only while it's connected. Disconnect it in Settings, Claude & ChatGPT, and access ends right away. How your assistant handles what it reads is up to its own privacy settings.
Does it work with other assistants?
It uses the open MCP standard, so any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors with sign-in can connect. Whether you can add a custom connector depends on your assistant's plan.
Do I need a BrainDump account?
Yes. The connector reads the notes synced to your BrainDump account. Sign in under Settings, Account in the app to turn sync on.
