Create folders and subfolders
Group related notes in folders, and nest folders inside each other.
Folders keep related notes together. You do not need one to start writing, because new notes land in “Uncategorized”.
- On iPhone, tap the folder icon (top-right) to open Folders.
- Tap the folder-plus button (bottom-right).
- Add a name. Optional: pick a color and icon.
- Tap “Save”.
For a subfolder, open a folder’s actions menu and choose “New folder...”.
Good to know
- Only top-level folders can be pinned (“Pin folder”).
- Deleting a folder moves its notes to Trash.
- You can write first and move notes later.
