Customize the keyboard toolbar
Choose which tools sit above the keyboard and which hide under the + button.
- iPhone
Keep the tools you use most one tap away.
- In a note, tap the + button in the keyboard toolbar.
- Tap “Customize toolbar...”.
- Use the up and down arrows to move a tool between “Always visible tools” (up to 4) and “Additional tools”.
- Tap “Reset” to go back to the defaults.
Good to know
- Tools: New note, Recent notes, Format, Freewriting, Background sounds and Ask.
- New note stays first.
- The Essential style hides “Customize toolbar...”. See Choose a style.
