Freewriting timer
Free, no account. Your writing stays in this browser.
10:00
Stop typing for a few seconds and your words start to fade. Type again and they come back.
How to freewrite
- 1
Pick a length
Ten minutes is a good start. Five if you're short on time, twenty when you're stuck on something big.
- 2
Don't stop typing
Write whatever shows up, even "I don't know what to write". Keep going mode fades your words if you stop, as a nudge.
- 3
Read it after
When the timer ends, read it back. The useful bits are usually in the second half.
