Back up and restore
Save everything to one file, and bring it back any time. Restoring never deletes anything.
Make a backup
- Open Settings > “Import notes” > “Backup”. On Mac, open the Backup tab.
- Tap “Create backup” and save the .bdbackup file somewhere safe.
Restore
- Open the same screen and tap “Choose backup file”.
- If some notes already exist, choose “Use the backup’s versions” or “Keep my versions”.
Good to know
- Restoring only adds and updates. Notes not in the backup stay.
- BrainDump also keeps the last 3 daily copies on your device. Tap “Restore” next to one.
- Those copies never leave the device, so save a file too.
