The Template

Everything on my mind right now

  • Write down every task, worry, and idea as it comes, in any order, without editing
  • Keep going until nothing new surfaces, even if the list gets long or messy

What actually needs to happen

  • Circle or list the items from above that require a real action from you
  • Cross out anything that was just noise, a worry with no next step, or already resolved

What can wait

  • List items that matter but don't need attention today
  • Note when you'll revisit each one (tomorrow, this week, someday)

One thing first

  • From the action list, pick the single item to do next
  • Write why it's first: urgency, ease, or blocking everything else

How to Use It in BrainDump

1.

Open a new note in BrainDump and start typing the moment you sit down, no need to pick a folder first

2.

Work through the four sections in order; don't stop to organize until the first section is fully emptied out

3.

Use BrainDump's AI tools to summarize the note into a short action list once you're done dumping

4.

Come back tomorrow and start a fresh one instead of editing yesterday's, the point is capture, not maintenance
